The Second Annual Key Largo Regatta will be held Dec. 5-7. The event starts Friday with registration from 4-8 p.m. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Mark Sorensen Youth Sailing Program.

The cool weather has started the Spanish mackerel to really bite. Nancy Bennett caught this while aboard Brian Cone's 'Contagious' out of Islamorada.
Turkey day is Thursday, a time for family, feast, football and a bunch of guys lounging around the living room after eating making noises that would make Tim Allen very proud while the ladies are stuck in the kitchen attempting to remove the remains of the feast from platters and pots (at least, that has been the stereotype for quite some time).

Discarded fishing line, fishhooks, plastic bags, beer and soda cans, fish carcasses and other litter is familiar to anyone who’s spent time on the many fishing bridges throughout the Keys.

The Ladies Upper Keys Invitational Regatta will be held this Saturday at the Upper Keys Sailing Club on Buttonwood Sound. The event begins with a race clinic for novice and intermediate sailors starting at 9 a.m.
